When you consume a lot of refined sugar, your liver became overloaded with fructose the mechanism in the liver convert the fructose to belly fat.
Many studies have all shown that excess sugar, very often is the cause of increased accumulation of fat belly due to the large amounts of fructose in those beverages.

Sugar in whole fruits support the human health, the refined, or extracted, sugars do not.

But back to me I stop with the beverages, I eat a lot of fruits, beef, I was drinking a lot of water.
I start power walking the distance in the beginning was only 2000 meters. But I was completely exhausted, after that distance, I forced myself to take the stairs to the 4th floor instead of the elevator. I did this every day, when I felt stronger I extended the distance and so on. Three month later I could without any problem walk 20 kilometers and I have lost 18 kg.
